As a responsible corporate organization OPL has accomplished various Community Development Schemes in its concession areas of Karak (NWFP), Khipro and Mirpur Khas (Sindh) to fulfill its social/corporate responsibilities. OPL has spent considerable amount on the improvement of health and education facilities in its operating area.
In Karak OPL has provided computers to Govt. colleges to facilitate IT education, arranged free eye camp for the masses and distribution of sewing machines to the poor women.
In Khipro and Mirpur Khas Blocks, OPL has arranged free eye camps, Maternity TBAs training to women, provided computers to Govt. Girls Degree College Tando Adam & District Social Welfare Committee Mirpur Khas for Mashal School, distributed sewing machines among Industrial Home/Women Welfare Center Tando Allayar, Matiari, Mirpur Khas and Sanghar. OPL have also provided wheel chairs and tables to Child Welfare Center and Karimi Foundation Tando Allayar for handicapped and disabled persons. Construction and establishment of four primary schools (two each in Mirpur Khas and Khipro area) and health facilities are in progress. |
